Mrs. VanZegeren is a graduate of Grand Valley State University with a degree in Social Studies and a minor in English. She got her start at West Michigan Aviation Academy as a student-teacher, and was thrilled when she had the opportunity to remain at WMAA permanently as a Social Studies instructor, teaching Aviation History and Literature and United States History. Teaching one of the foundational aviation courses at WMAA has awakened a love and interest in the aviation industry, and she actively seeks out opportunities to expand her knowledge and experiences with aviation.
Mrs. VanZegeren spent her first year of college at Moody Bible Institute in Spokane, WA, where she fell in love with the Pacific-Northwest, and returns to visit as often as she can. She also enjoys performing, singing, and making music. She has performed as a harpist semi-professionally throughout the greater Grand Rapids area, and teaches private lessons to young, aspiring harpists.
Mrs. VanZegeren is passionate about the students at WMAA and is privileged to have this opportunity to work with them and learn alongside them.
