Curriculum

WMAA Curriculum

We’re a high school, so we offer all the classes any state-approved high school requires. English, biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, civics, world history and geography are just some of the classes we offer in addition to our aviation requirements and electives.

WMAA offers students three tracks to choose from: Aviation Flight, Aviation Business Administration, and Aviation Mechanics. The skills learned in these tracks can be applied to various fields after high school, both in aviation and otherwise. Students graduate West Michigan Aviation Academy having completed a challenging scholastic career, and will be way beyond other high school students in aviation knowledge, experience, and general education.

Michigan’s high school graduation requirements are some of the most demanding in the nation. West Michigan Aviation Academy adheres to and exceeds these requirements. For a detailed description of Michigan’s graduation requirements, see the Michigan Department of Education website.
