Mr. Halamka graduated from Western Michigan University in 2010 with a major in Physical Education and minor in Elementary Education. While attending WMU, he had many coaching opportunities. He coached junior varsity baseball at Loy Norrix high school in Kalamazoo for three years, and was the head junior varsity football coach at Paw Paw High School for two years. Mr. Halamka interned at Hartford High School in Hartford, Michigan, where he taught high school physical education and second grade. He has been teaching elementary and middle school physical education in Bloomingdale, Michigan for the past 3 years, where he also served as the head varsity football coach.
Mr. Halamka is excited to be a part of the West Michigan Aviation Academy staff and will be teaching 9th grade Physical Education, Fit for Flight, and Aviation Physiology. He will also be heading up the athletic department as it continues to grow as a member of the Michigan High School Athletic Association.
